What are SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?

SDGs stands for the Sustainable Development Goals, international goals that were adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015 to be achieved by 2030.

Based on the pledge to "leave no one behind," this plan of action for humanity, the planet, and prosperity focuses on the areas of "poverty," "health and welfare," and "education."

It consists of 17 goals and 169 targets, including "Decent Work" and "Climate Change."

The SDGs are universal goals that not only developing countries but also developed countries themselves should work on.

This is also being actively pursued in Japan.

Relationship with Employees

● Providing a wide variety of external training opportunities to enhance the capabilities of all employees
● Mental health care initiatives (stress checks, consultation desks, etc.)
● Introduction of shortened working hours, etc., to make it easier to balance caregiving and child-rearing
● Hiring foreigners and providing a fair working environment

Environmental Initiatives

● Propose automated equipment and improve productivity at manufacturing sites
● Introduction of environmentally friendly equipment
● Reduce electricity consumption by switching to LED lighting in the office
● Promoting recycling through thorough sorting

Relationship with society

● Formulation of business continuity plan (BCP)
● Actively recruit local talent
● Sponsorship of local events
● Participate in local volunteer activities
● Accepting student internships
